Why sail Alaska with Carnival Cruise Line?

Carnival sails the Inside Passage with three mid-size ships in 2026: Carnival Spirit and Carnival Miracle on seven-night round-trips from Seattle, and Carnival Luminosa on ten-night sailings from San Francisco. Every route pairs the classic ports of Southeast Alaska with one glacier day, scenic cruising in Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier, or Tracy Arm and Sawyer Glacier on the San Francisco sailings. Carnival's gift to Alaska cruising is how relaxed it feels: retractable-roof pool decks keep glacier mornings warm, comedy and live music fill the evenings, and a round-trip homeport means the ship covers the distance while the forested miles slide past.

  • Retractable-roof pool decks on Spirit and Miracle, and warm sheltered spots on Luminosa, so a cool glacier morning never cuts the day short.
  • Round-trip Inside Passage sailings from Seattle and San Francisco: fly once, and let the ship cover the distance.
  • Carnival's relaxed, fun-first style at approachable prices, with Guy's Burger Joint, BlueIguana Cantina, and comedy clubs on the Seattle ships.
  • Glacier time in Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier, with Tracy Arm and Sawyer Glacier on the San Francisco route.

The backbone of Carnival's Alaska season, sailed weekly by both Spirit and Miracle: a sea day north, a glacier morning in Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier, then full days in Skagway and Juneau, a Ketchikan call, and an evening in Victoria. Carnival's Alaska glacier day was long anchored in Tracy Arm; for 2026 the line cruises Endicott Arm instead, after unstable conditions closed Tracy Arm.
